This fanlisting is for people who are a fan of the relationship between Max and Alec of the show Dark Angel.

When Alec first walked in to Max's life, her first reaction was to kick him across the room. For most of Season Two, her attitude towards him didn't change much. But the episode "Hello Goodbye" proved to be a bit of a turning point for the two of them, when Max confided in Alec one of her most painful memories, and found he's not always the jackass she treats him as, after all.

As the show drew towards it's end, Alec proved himself to be someone she could reply on - as much as she forever hated to admit it, and by the end they were fighting alongside each other rather than against each other, to help their fellow transgenics in their struggle for freedom and acceptance, or at least a moment's respite from those who hunted them.

The best way to describe the various ways in which fans perceive Max and Alec's rivalry was summed up by the original creator of this fanlisting, Rachel:

Some people saw their antagonism as a cover up for their true feelings, some saw it as sibling rivalry, and some felt they could barely stand the sight of each other.
